International Series Supermoto Round 5/6 Pomposa

Last appointment for the Internazionali d'Italia which took place on the Pomposa track, for the occasion it was the new track that served as the stage for this last double race.

Francois Corman after the bad blow he suffered on the arm in the Viterbo race tried to get on the track but the pain did not allow him to race.

Pomposa 1

In timed practice Maxime Lacour proves to be at ease on the Pomposa track and obtains an incredible pole position, Youry Catherine cannot find the right feeling with the track and cannot do better than seventh position.

At the start of race 1 Lacour is very good at taking advantage of the pole position and immediately takes the lead and with an excellent pace manages to take an advantage that sees him passing alone under the checkered flag. Catherine makes a great race from behind, at the start she is very fast to immediately move to third position during the first lap and with an extraordinary speed she closes second.

The second heat for Lacour is perfect, the Frenchman makes no mistakes and with an exemplary performance he takes the victory home. Unfortunately, Youri is the author of an error that makes him sink to the rear but thanks to a great comeback he ends seventh.

Maxime Lacour is first in the day's standings and Youry Catherine is third.

In the S3 class Alan Labamar closes in seventh place.

Pomposa 2

On the second day of competition Maxime Lacour is once again the protagonist, the Frenchman is at ease on the Pomposa track, fast and technical, and conquers another excellent pole position. Youry Catherine improves her qualifying performance with the third time.

In the first heat Lacour is perfect, another race without flaws, Maxime at the first corner is first and with a "hammer" pace he wins with over ten seconds on his opponents. Unfortunately Chaterine is the author of a mistake that expels him from the fight for the top positions and closes in seventh place.

In race 2 Maxime and Youry are amazing, the two Frenchmen staged an excellent first and second place. Catherine thanks to the second place in the heats is third overall, Lacour is the star of Pomposa with another victory.

Youry Catherine closes her first year of racing in Italy in second place overall.

Labamar in the S3 class closes his experience with an excellent fourth place.

Max Gazzarata Team Manager comments on the race as follows: "Great result in these two races, Lacour was a surprise, we only did one test before the race and I realized he could do well, during the two races we worked very well to improve and we managed to take home two good victories. Youry proved once again that he is fast and that he can be the driver for the future. Too bad for Alan who made some mistakes because he could take home an excellent result. Now we get to work for next season. A big good luck to Corman who will undergo surgery on his injured elbow in Viterbo in the next few days "
